Mindset Coaching For High School Athletes

Helping young athletes build confidence, resilience, and a healthy relationship with sport—so they can perform better and enjoy the process.

The Challenge

If you’re the parent of a high school athlete, you’ve probably seen how quickly sport can become stressful.

What starts as something they love can turn into pressure. Pressure to perform, to improve, to prove themselves.

Many athletes begin to believe:

“If I perform well, I’m enough. If I don’t, I’m not.”

This mindset doesn’t just affect performance—it affects confidence, enjoyment, and overall well-being.

Reframe

My work with athletes centers around shifting that mindset.

Instead of:

“I need to achieve in order to feel good about myself”

We build toward:

“I’m already enough—and I get to express that through my sport”

From that place:

  • effort becomes more consistent

  • pressure decreases

  • performance often improves naturally

But more importantly: Your athlete enjoys the process again.

What I Help With

Common areas we work on:

  • Performance anxiety before races or competitions

  • Fear of failure or letting others down

  • Perfectionism and overthinking

  • Loss of confidence after a setback

  • Difficulty enjoying the sport despite strong results

My Approach

My approach is not about hype, motivation, or surface-level mindset tricks.

It’s about helping athletes:

  • understand how they think

  • recognize unhelpful patterns

  • build a more stable internal foundation

This creates:

  • more consistent performance

  • greater resilience

  • and a healthier long-term relationship with sport

1:1 Mindset Coaching

Personalized sessions tailored to the athlete’s specific challenges, personality, and goals.

This is ideal for athletes who:

  • are struggling with confidence or pressure

  • want individual support and guidance

  • are navigating a difficult period in their sport

Small Group Cohorts

Small groups of athletes working through these concepts together in a supportive environment.

This is ideal for:

  • normalizing shared experiences

  • building connection and perspective

  • learning tools alongside peers

If your athlete is struggling with confidence, pressure, or enjoyment in their sport, I’d be happy to help.
